How to install and configure my Cabasse 5.1 system
Positioning your speakers in your room:
FL : Front Left
FR : Front Right
C : Central
SW : Subwoofer
SL : Surround Left
SR : Surround Right
Connecting your 5.1 system to your home Cinema amplifier
1) CROSSOVER FREQUENCY
In 5.1 configuration, adjust the potentiometer on the 180 Hz position to avoid overlapping with the 125 Hz filter of the audio-video amplifier.
2) LEVEL
For both 2.1 and 5.1 configurations, adjust the LEVEL of the subwoofer with various tracks in stereo mode
(CD). To adjust the level of the low frequency effect channel, do not modify the sound level of the Santorin 25 subwoofer but instead go to the setup menu of your 5.1 audio video amplifier and adjust the SUBWOOFER/ LFE channel.
3) PHASE
If inverting the PHASE raises the bass level, keep this setting and adjust again the LEVEL.
Other Frequently Asked Questions :
How do I place my subwoofer in my room?
As a general rule, if the subwoofer is placed in a corner, it is possible to experience an excess of bass, in which case we recommend to move the subwoofer about 40cm away from your wall.
How do I connect my satellites to a Santorin subwoofer?
The Santorin subwoofer do not have an LFE input, it must be connected to the stereo signal via the RCA inputs. The internal processing will sum the left and right signals and filter the high frequencies.
What is the "auto" mode on my subwoofer?
Auto mode is controlled by the input signal to the subwoofer and allows the subwoofer to switch to standby mode. When the subwoofer has not received a signal for a period of time or if the signal is too weak, it will automatically turn off. As soon as an input signal is detected, it will switch back on. If this mode does not work, we advise you to connect your subwoofer to an isolated socket. If the problem persists, we suggest you to contact your dealer to have it checked.
