A) Connection via an optical cable
You can set up your Cabasse system to be synchronized with your TV, video projector or computer. In order to reduce the latency with the sound of your TV or any other source, please follow the steps below.
1) If you own The Pearl or The Pearl Akoya :
An optical switch will be necessary, It is also strongly recommended to use an active optical splitter (with an external power supply) in order to allow an optimal reading of the signal whatever the distance of the speakers compared to the television.
Please find below the connection diagram to respect:
2) If you own The Pearl Keshi or The Pearl Sub :
An optical switch is not necessary. Simply follow the diagram below:
3 ) Please go to the following settings in the Cabasse application and select "TV Direct" mode:
Once your speakers are configured, it is possible to experience sound issues when using optical such as cuts, chops. If you are experiencing similar issues, please check the parameters of your television and particularly its output format which must be configured in PCM stereo.
Finally, the strand of the optical cable being very fragile, it is possible to be damaged if it is defective. In that case, we recommend to try with another optical cable.
The TV low latency mode in the Cabasse application allows you to adjust the desired latency without having to buy an additional splitter. All you have to do is adjust the latency to about 300 ms in the setting of your TV in order to match it to the image.
B ) Connection via an analog cable
1) For an analog configuration with two systems like The Pearl or The Pearl Akoya :
You will only need to connect the right and left channel and assign each channel within The Cabasse application.
If your TV is not equipped with an RCA output, you can use the headphone jack with an adapter as follow :
2) For an analog configuration with a system such as The Pearl or The Pearl Sub :

3 ) Please make the following settings in the Cabasse application and select "TV Direct" mode:
