In order to ensure the best sound quality possible on your Cabasse system, please use the following steps
1. Correctly position your speakers
For a Keshi 2.1 system: please make sure to point the 2 satellites toward you and place them at ear level
For any other Cabasse connected system, proceed as you would for any traditional speakers:
- They have to be placed not too close and not too far from the back wall
- Both speakers have to be equally distant from the back wall
- The couch or listening chair must be at a minimum distance from the back wall
- Speakers have to be directed toward you and at ear level
2. Run the CRCS room calibration
Cabasse recommends running the CRCS room calibration as soon as you install your system for the first time or decide to change its location.
3. Test the sound
Please use demo tracks you are familiar with or use the following tracks to test the sound of your system:
FIRST, TEST THE BASSES
Use the following tracks:
- Piece by Piece by Katie Melua
- Allelujah by Fairground Attraction
If the basses are too strong :
- Adjust the Listening position as far as possible from the back wall. You can access the listening position feature by opening your Cabasse player settings in the Cabasse app or reading this article to learn about how to adjust the listening position.
- Decrease the DFE or turn it off.
- Increase the Audio Spectrum
If the basses are too weak:
- Adjust the Listening position as close as possible to the back wall.
- Increase the DFE
- Decrease the Audio Spectrum
4. Test the stereo image
Please use the following tracks to test the stereo image of your system. The sound must be centered, between the two speakers. The following tracks are great for their vocals and only have a few instruments.
- Piece by Piece by Katie Melua
- I was made for loving you by Maria Mena
If the stereo image is still not centered, please make sure your listening position is between the two speakers and that your speakers are spaced out and turned toward you. Please remember to re-run the room calibration if you decide to move the speakers.
5. Test the high frequencies
- For this test, we recommend using tracks that include a female voice and drums.
- Try to pay attention to the "s" pronounced by the female voice. They should not be too aggressive or too flat. If the “s” are too strong, you can audio spectrum.
6. Test the final result
Use the following track to test the final result.
“Ode to Billy Joe” by Patricia Barber
