Cabasse Driver for Control4
This driver enables the control of any number of Cabasse zones, which may consist of one or more Cabasse devices from The Pearl Collection. You only need one Cabasse driver per Cabasse zone, whether it includes a single speaker, stereo-paired speakers, or multiple speakers in a zone.
This driver supports:
- Two-way transport and volume control of the Cabasse zone.
- Metadata feedback for the currently playing track.
- Play/Store/Remove functionality for Cabasse Presets, accessible from Navigator UIs.
Installation
Pre-Control4 Setup
Before proceeding, ensure the following:
- Your Cabasse system is already installed and configured to run standalone.
- No Cabasse system configuration is possible through the Control4 driver.
Download the Control4 Driver
- Download the Cabasse driver for Control4 onto the same PC where you run Composer Pro for configuring your Control4 project.
- The driver is available for download at the Cabasse website : Support / FAQ / Control4
- Unzip the downloaded file.
- Copy the Cabasse.c4z driver into your Control4 driver’s folder.
- Start Composer Pro. If the driver is installed correctly, Composer Pro will automatically discover all installed Cabasse devices using the SDDP protocol.
Adding the Driver
Using SDDP (Recommended)
The Cabasse driver supports Control4’s Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP), which simplifies the setup and configuration process.

- Model: The Pearl Collection
- Address: [MODEL_NAME]-[DEVICE_NAME]-[3 last bytes of MAC address]
- Select the room where you want to install the Cabasse device.
- Double-click on the discovered Cabasse driver to add it to the selected room. Rename the driver if desired.
- Once added, the Properties tab will display the IP address of your Cabasse device, and the Cabasse Status should confirm the driver is successfully connected.
Note: All Cabasse devices on the network, including secondary players in a zone, will appear using SDDP.
